Eden Prairie Room Addition

This is a classic case of “should we remodel or move” situation. The home owners loved their neighborhood, but the home didn’t meet their current needs. It was time for them to decide if it made more sense to remodel or move.

Project Concept

The owners at this Eden prairie home wanted more living space for their family. They have looked at new homes but didn’t want to leave their neighborhood. They decided on expanding their current home by adding two room additions. One would serve as a home office, the other would serve as a new family room space. they decided to add a porch to the office overlooking the pool so they could sit out there and collect their thoughts during a busy workday.

Project Completion

The family room addition is large enough for the whole family to enjoy and includes large picture windows overlooking the pool as well as a gas fireplace to keep the room nice and cozy on those cold winter days. We also opened up the wall so that the kitchen flows into the family room making for a great place to entertain guests. The project also included a kitchen makeover and adding a peninsula that makes for a smooth transition from the newly remodeled kitchen to the new family room addition.
