From Concept to Completion
Two Level Addition
Bloomington Minnesota
Project Concept
Expand existing home in Bloomington that is also very close to cities code for maximum impervious coverage, or the maximum allowable footprint.
Project Completion
After we established exactly what the clients wanted we got started right away working with the city officials to come up with a solution. Our idea was to replace the driveway with pavers that are designed to let water flow through them, there by reducing the current homes impervious coverage. 0nce that was completed we could start construction on their new 28 × 20 room addition. The main level was completed with a half bath, family room with gas fireplace and custom built in book cases. The lower level has a full bath complete with whirlpool bathtub, heated tile floor plus an extra bathroom. The original structure was also upgraded with new Energy Star rated siding and windows.
Room Addition
Shakopee MN
Project Concept
Add a family room to a existing home with a strict budget.
Project Completion
Adding family rooms and porches to existing homes has always been popular. It is a good way to add value and square footage to your home. These type of additions are economical because they don’t use a conventional foundation. Instead they are built on concrete piers. A typical room addition that’s 16 feet by 16 feet has three footings. One at each outermost corner and one in the middle. The house side of the addition gets attached directly to the home. This room addition was completed with hardwood floors, energy efficient windows and doors and a cozy natural gas fire place.

Project Completion
The original kitchen space was gutted and added on to. We then designed and created a fully equipped kitchen complete with granite countertops, corner windows with transom windows and a snack bar in the island. A travertine tile floor, maple cabinetry with European style hinges and full extension glides on the drawers. The new adjoining dining and family area is complete with oak hardwood floors, french doors and a reclaimed stained glass window.
Master Bedroom Addition Over Garage
Burnsville MN
Project Concept
The clients requested a master suite that would be their private sanctuary.
Project Completion
Room additions over garage have always been popular. They are a cost effective way to add on to your home because the garage already has footings. It's also a good opportunity to change the exterior style of your home and insulate the garage. In this case we added a master bedroom suite that included two dormers on the exterior front which enhanced the look of the home. This is truly a master suite with tall ceilings, hardwood floors, master bath and a bay window with reading area.
